The Aug. 7 concert is also to feature Simone Felice, Rayland Baxter, Swear and Shake, Nicole Atkins, Fiction of the Future and others, according to event organizers. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Radio Woodstock Cares Foundation, a nonprofit that aids Hudson Valley residents in need.
“We’re excited to welcome back the Speed of Sound Festival to our own Dutchess County Airport,” said Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro. “The festival will feature performers and activities that are sure to bring fun and entertainment for all to enjoy.”
The festival is set to begin at 1 p.m. with the music starting at 1:30 p.m. Local “farm-to-table” food vendors will be offering food and drinks for purchase throughout the day while Hudson Valley craft artisans and artists offer their works. Children’s activities are also scheduled, according to event organizers.
Tickets to the event, sponsored by Radio Woodstock 100.1 and Friendly Auto Group, cost $45 for general admission (“Economy Class”) or $150 for VIP tickets (“First Class”). Children under the age of 10 are free. There is an on-site parking fee of $10 per vehicle. Free shuttle transportation is to be provided to and from the New Hamburg Metro North Train Station.
Pre-sale tickets (“Frequent Flyer”) are to go on sale Friday for Radio Woodstock supporters, VIPs, Friendly Auto Group customers and members of The Lumineers’ fan club. Tickets are to be released to the general public on Saturday.
